PLACES TO SEE MONTENEGRO

If you are searching for your trip to Montenegro, you are at the right place. This is our recommended article to read first before making any plans or reservations!

In this article, we will share information that will allow you to outline your Montenegro trip, such as places to visit in Montenegro, how much time you should allocate, and where you stay makes sense.

We have a ton of things to tell, so we're going to jump into the subject at jet speed: Montenegro's main tourism destinations; Budva, Bay of Kotor (Kotor + Perast + Dobrata), Tivat, Lovcen, Herceg Novi, Bar and Podgorica. The head of Montenegro is by far the Bay of Kotor. There are also wonderful national parks in the north of the country, but we will not go into them in this article, as people generally prefer the coastline.

The end of everything we will tell soon will be connected to "You must come here urgently", let's warn you in advance:

– Montenegro, Croatia and Romania are by far the 3 most beautiful places in the entire Balkans. You can no longer travel to Romania and Croatia without a visa.

– No visa required. Montenegro will soon enter the European Union and Schengen Visa will arrive. You have to go and see it asap. Click for other visa-free countries.

– It is close, there are many who come from Turkey even by car. For Information: How to Go Abroad by Private Vehicle

The flight from Istanbul to Podgorica takes 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Istanbul – Tivat 2 hours (it is more advantageous to fly here for sightseeing)

We have mentioned transportation alternatives below.

– Sea, history, nature is wonderful

– Some parts are in European texture,

– But the prices are more fair than in Europe (we will also provide price information below)

– Very popular: In recent years, there has been a tourism boom in Montenegro. It has also become the new favorite stop of cruises. Kotor is called the Dubrovnik of the future. Come see it before it gets too crowded.

– Visa is almost here: You know, when Croatia entered the EU, visas came, prices increased, those who could not go said "I wish we had acted quickly". Although it is not clear when it will enter, the countdown has already begun for Montenegro.

– Those who will go on a Balkan tour should definitely see it.

But…

In order to set expectations right, it is useful to clarify some things:

– Montenegro is not a luxury country. There are some very nice friendly places. You can drink with pleasure and taste, but if your expectation is magnificence, it will not meet it. Porto Montenegro in Tivat is the most luxurious place in the country, there are 3-5 well-designed restaurants and 1-2 haute-couture shops.

– New shakes out Yugoslavia mod. So some things lag behind and service can be insanely slow. :)))

– Montenegro is a limited destination for those looking for a city life holiday. There are not many galleries, museums, nightlife, events, etc. The population of the whole country is better than Ağrı; 620,000 people. 🙂

Budva is the most famous and visited place in Montenegro, but this does not mean that it is the most beautiful place. It was probably once, with its magnificent beaches and historical settlements, but unfortunately, it was wasted a little with the unplanned construction. While we were joking among ourselves that the contractors from the Black Sea region found this place, we also saw that there are actually quite a few Turkish construction companies. Asjdjsj…

However, Budva is still among the must-see places in Montenegro. Especially Sveti Stefan and Budva Old Town are amazing places. The most beautiful beaches are also around Budva. I'll say the Adriatic Sea, you get it. People, especially Russians, flock to Budva for sea-sand-sun holidays, and of course for the casinos. 🙂 Click for location. Number 1 on the map.
